Losing mobility can be a traumatic period in anyone’s life, regardless of whether this is due to ageing, or an accident. With the implementation of innovative, reliable and efficient motors mobility solutions are able to empower individuals with increased independence and mobility.

As with any piece of equipment, it is important to utilise the most appropriate motors for the specific functional requirements, as well as ensuring they are small, powerful and have smooth and quiet running.

Here at Parvalux, we provide three primary products for mobility solutions: the BRx90 for stairlifts, the PM63 range for powered wheelchairs, and the PM11 for patient hoists.

There are various benefits to ensuring the most efficient and suitable motors are used for specific mobility solutions, such as:

  • Improved independence of the user as they are able to navigate their environments, safely, smoothly and in comfort.
  • Improved security through multiple safety features offered by the motors reduces the likelihood of injury.
  • A more comfortable experience for the user with controlled, and smooth movement, with reduced vibrations, jolts and noise.
  • Extended battery life, due to optimised energy consumption there is a reduction in the frequency of recharging or replacing the batteries.

BRx90 & GB65 – Revolutionising Stairlifts

Stairlifts are invaluable for enabling those with mobility issues to use the stairs effortlessly and safely. The BRx90 motor and GB65 gearbox, specifically designed for stairlift applications, with a high torque output, and smooth speed control which enables seamless ascents and descents again and again.

The BRx90 maintains its reliability over an extended period of use, operates silently and seamlessly works with the controls ensuring a smooth ride every time.

Having this motor paired up with the GB65 ensures the stairlift will have more than enough power to fit many specifications.

Our customisable options ensure there is a motor with the required power and torque for all projects even those with limited space.

PM63 & GB9 Range – Empowering Powered Wheelchairs

The PM63 motor range with a GB9 gearbox is specifically engineered to meet the demanding requirements of powered wheelchairs by offering high torque and efficiency, and an extended battery life which ensures optimal performance for longer.

There are two motors on a powered wheelchair, one for each wheel which draws power from the battery. The motors and gearboxes need to be powerful enough to move the driver for a prolonged period of time without draining the battery, as well as being able to handle heavy loads (up to 140 kg).

Using the right combination for the job can ensure that users are able to navigate various terrains, without compromising on comfort, speed and efficiency. Our powered wheelchair geared motors are highly efficient, meaning users can go further on a single charge, as well as being reliable, smooth and quiet.

PM11 & GB28 – Enhancing Patient Hoists

The PM11 motor with a GB28 gearbox is a reliable and robust solution for patient hoists in a compact envelope. Its high-torque capabilities, precise control, and smooth operation allow for effortless lifting and positioning of patients.

With additional overload protection and emergency stop functions, the PM11 ensures safety and comfort for both patients and caregivers.

Customisable Options

The BRx90, PM63, and PM11 motors are perfectly suited for use with a range of Parvalux right-angle and inline gearboxes enabling you to assemble the perfect geared motor combination for your specific application.

By harnessing these innovative and efficient motors within your equipment, you can design and manufacture next-generation mobility solutions that significantly improve the quality of life for individuals with limited mobility whilst at the same time being efficient, comfortable and safe.

At Parvalux our motors and gearboxes are fully customisable and we can quickly develop a combination specific to the available space envelope and project requirements.
