What is a PWM controller?
Pulse-width modulation (PWM) controllers work by switching the supply to the motor on and off very rapidly. The average power that this switching frequency produces affects the speed at which the motor turns, so by adjusting the frequency (pulse-width) the speed of the motor is also controlled. PWM is a powerful technique for controlling analogue circuits with a digital signal.
