World Environment Day 2025

Parvalux is committed to a sustainable future, a commitment which is common throughout the maxon group, to which we belong. As a long-established company, sustainable approaches to production and business are part of our culture, supporting an action roadmap encompassing our short- and long-term sustainability activities. From building our net-zero state of the art production facility to our everyday operations, our key priorities have been to lower our greenhouse gas emissions, to lower or remove waste, and consider the carbon footprint in transporting our products worldwide.

39% Of self-generated energy

129 tons CO2 saved

598,675 KWHs Produced by our solar panels

Reduce & Reuse

The first step to doing this is to ensure that we aren’t throwing away single use plastics, and that we reuse and recycle as much of our materials as we can. At Parvalux we believe we can make change that will help reduce waste and increase our reusage of materials that otherwise would be thrown away. Last year we introduced our Material Review Board this has helped to save materials and streamline our production processes, since last year it has helped to save tens of thousands of pounds in materials which means that our environmental impact is lower than what it would have been without this process. At Parvalux we are committed to improving our environmental performance, by improving our waste management, this means that all teams effectively separate different types of waste and avoid cross contamination, this enables us to reduce the amount of contaminated waste we produce and recycle more of our waste.

Green Energy

The solar panels on our state-of-the-art facility are also producing a significant proportion of energy for Parvalux House. Since last year our solar panels have produced 598,675 KWHs of energy which has saved 129 tons of CO2 emissions. 39% of all the energy we use is self-generated from our solar panels which is necessary to help look after our environment and not pull so much power from the grid. Since moving into our new facility we have identified ways to all staff can change behavior to make small differences every day to help us reduce energy usage. This means when leaving a meeting room making sure the lights and AC are turned off. When leaving the office for the evening making sure computers are turned off and any non-essential systems that could be drawing power while we are closed or away from desks are turned off too. We have encouraged our staff to be more energy aware and have carried out extensive environmental awareness training to help create a knowledge baseline and provide monthly updates to show our progress in reducing our impact. 2025 has seen us achieve our ISO 14001 certification which we are proud to celebrate on this environment day, we will continue to make progress with our environmental efforts and a lot of work is already in the pipeline, we will be excited to showcase even more progress next year.
