A career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) tends to be secure as there is always a demand, meaning it is a great career to consider. Here at Parvalux we believe embarking on an engineering career can be a fulfilling and challenging choice and one that we whole-heartedly support and encourage.

With our brand-new centre of excellence in design, manufacturing, marketing, and sales being due for completion in 2023 we are always keen to hear from enthusiastic and motivated people looking to develop their career. We recruit for a variety of roles with permanent, part-time, apprenticeship, placement, and work experience opportunities depending on the positions available at the time. More importantly than raw academic qualifications we look for people who can contribute enthusiasm and passion for our products and customers.

Permanent Roles

To support our continued growth, we are always interested in hearing from passionate individuals. From those starting their career to experienced professionals, we can provide full training in a variety of roles including:

  • Production Operative
  • Production Engineer
  • CNC Machinist

In return for your contribution, we will help you develop professionally and personally by offering responsibility and the opportunity to contribute from day one. We are developing a team culture that respects new ideas, ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking, and curious minds.

Apprenticeships

We are extremely proud of the apprenticeship programmes that we run here at Parvalux, where our apprentices learn new skills alongside training at college to gain a qualification on completion.

Take Jess for example, who started with us ten years ago as an Accounts Apprentice and has quickly risen through the ranks to become our Finance Manager. With a combination of on-the-job training and study leave, since starting she has undertaken her AAT and ACCA exams and will soon be qualifying as a chartered accountant.

We offer apprenticeships in the following disciplines:

  • Degree Apprenticeship in Engineering – Mechanical Design

This programme is validated by Bournemouth University, accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) and delivered by Bournemouth and Poole College. Throughout the programme apprentices will work on ‘live’ projects and assignments related to and based on real experiences at Parvalux, as well as gaining on-the-job experience and support from the team.

  • Engineering Apprenticeship – Machining Level 3

Advanced apprenticeships are a popular choice for young people aged 16 – 24 who are looking to become fully qualified in their chosen field at the same time as earning a wage. The training element is directly linked to the career path chosen, enabling the apprentice to gain practical experience in the workplace, as well as attendance at college for one day per week. • Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship Level 3

This programme is validated by the British Computer Society and delivered by Bournemouth and Poole College. The apprenticeship combines study days at college with the remainder of the time based in the workplace alongside software experts gaining on-the-job experience. • Digital Marketer Apprenticeship Level 3

A Digital Marketer Apprenticeship will give the apprentice valuable experience within the advertising and marketing industry.

Whether this is designing a new website, advert or campaign, the scheme pairs the apprentice with one of the many highly successful local agencies specialising in digital marketing and social media use providing valuable real-time experience. Read more at the College website here.

Dorset EMC

Parvalux is also a member of the Dorset EMC (Engineering and Manufacturing Cluster) which supports engineering and manufacturing in Dorset. The cluster creates opportunities to collaborate, create and innovate with industry partners, schools, colleges and universities.

As one of a community of 2,000 companies employing 17,000 people in the engineering and manufacturing industries we know that the manufacturing and engineering sector has a great deal to offer.

Here at Parvalux we invest heavily in our people to support career development paths for our employees and apprentices. We excel at bringing world class individuals into our business, and as part of the maxon group we support international short-term and long-term postings within the group.

We are always interested in hearing from people wishing to embark on an engineering career. Start the conversation by visiting our Careers page or by emailing  [email protected]
