The motors and gearboxes that are very popular within door automation are the PBL60, GB58, GB12 and GB9. These components can help you reach torque and speed demands easily while being robust ensuring longevity.
We categorize our gearboxes into sections that we think are best for particular applications. We sort these categories into Light, Standard, Heavy, and Super Heavy Duty each with a purpose to suit the requirements of applications within Door Automation and to make the process easier for design engineers to know what the best components are for their project.
The light duty applications can all be enabled by the GB58, being compact and lightweight means this gearbox can fit into tight systems that might not have a lot of room available. For example, you could use this gearbox with small lightweight doors that don’t use heavy materials.
The standard duty applications can all be covered by our GB80 gearbox. This component has slightly more power than our light duty gearbox which gives this gearbox the ability to move heavier and more complex door systems like large revolving doors and tall/wide sliding doors.
The Parvalux GB12 is great for heavy-duty applications this means heavier and bigger doors like tall industrial shutters and large sliding doors for cold rooms or soundproofing in large factories and warehouses.
For Super Heavy Duty applications, we suggest that the GB9 is used within a system to allow large and heavy doors/gates to be moved with ease. The GB9 has up to 80 Nm of torque available to use within the application which can help to move very heavy doors that use heavy materials and that are very large in size.
