With around 40,000 courses, worldwide, golf is a global phenomenon that has transcended its sporting origins to become a pastime and even a social event, that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy.

For almost 30 years, Nottinghamshire-based manufacturer, Grasshopper Golfkarts Ltd. has been helping players get to and around golf courses, in comfort and with ease. Today, the Grasshopper brand is synonymous with durable, comfortable vehicles that enable golfers to test themselves against the hilliest courses and the most exposed coastal links.

Grasshopper designs carts to fit comfortably in the rear of a typical SUV or station wagon with the aid of ramps and with no heavy lifting.

The Classic, Cobra and Junior models have been designed with ease of use and transportation, as has the new Cobra ATB, all terrain cart.

With a range of up to 36 holes (dependent on conditions and terrain), this rugged unit is capable of climbing slopes of up to 1:3 and reaching a speed of eight miles per hour (15 km/h), thanks to a pair of Parvalux 24 Volt, 300-Watt electric motors providing direct drive through two 30:1 heavy-duty reduction gearboxes.

It’s a tough and durable combination that delivers smooth, reliable power, whenever it’s required. Despite its high level of capability, the Parvalux drive system is also quiet – something every golfer will be thankful for!

Rob Moor, Grasshopper’s Managing Director says:

“Parvalux has been our motor and gearbox partner for 22 years now and they understand what our customers value in a Grasshopper buggy.

Their reliable, compact geared motors are important because they enable us to offer the small form factor, high power and quiet operation that our customers tell us are key selling features of every Grasshopper buggy.”
