Keith Ridout has spent his working life at Parvalux, starting with us in 1974, and has reached 50 years of service which is an amazing achievement, one that means he joins a growing club of the Parvalux 50.
In his time at Parvalux, Keith has worked in many different departments, starting out as an Apprentice, Ketih said “I was very fortunate to be one of the first apprentices for Mr Clark [the founder of Parvalux] back when I started in 1974”.
Keith then moved onto winding, logistics and the machine shop where he completed his CNC qualifications at Poole College. All the way through his Parvalux journey Keith was able to learn all about the different products and manufacturing process in Parvalux which led him to become Quality Inspector in October 2019, where product knowledge is vital.
The Quality Inspector role is essential as it’s the last time a product is inspected before it is shipped to the customer, when asked why Keith took the job he said, “to make a difference at Parvalux and push us forward as a quality company”.
Before Keith left Parvalux he wanted to pass on his wisdom from his career at Parvalux, Ketih told us “Through the years I have learnt to dedicate myself to my job, to be as honest and straightforward with the people I have worked with.”
He added “to any young person starting their career at Parvalux, be open-minded, be professional and work together as a team.”

When we asked Keith about some memorable moments in his career, he said he remembers when people around the factory would dress up as Father Christmas and hand out treats to the staff. This was something Keith enjoyed every year and even tried to keep the tradition going in 2023 as he dressed up as Santa.
Keith was very excited to tell us about his retirement plans, “I have been planning my retirement for the last two years and thanks to Parvalux I will be able to push my skills further with the tools they have given me”.
Keith is also planning on spending time with his loved ones and traveling around the UK with his wife. Keith continued to say, “I’d like to think I can take what I have learnt from Parvalux and pass my experiences on in my retirement”.
Keith will miss all the people he has worked with over the years and is looking forward to seeing what Parvalux and maxon do in the future.
Parvalux would like to thank Keith for all his hard work and dedication to the company. We wish him a long and restful retirement to spend with his family and friends.
