Parvalux congratulates NASA on the successful landing of the Perseverance rover on Mars!

Our parent company, maxon, has supplied electric motors on Perseverance which will assist in the collection of soil samples from the Jezero crater, which is believed was once filled with water, to search for traces of earlier life.

Also arriving on-board the rover is Ingenuity, the first helicopter drone sent to another planet. Six brushed maxon DCX motors, measuring just 10mm in diameter, will control the tilt of the rotor blades on the drone when the first flights take place around May 2021.

Parvalux couldn’t be prouder to be part of the maxon group and wishes all phases of the forthcoming mission success!
