John Severn, Finance DirectorDuring his career, John has been number one in finance for a series of businesses ranging from precision light-metal engineering to specialist polymer sheet manufacture. John joined Parvalux in 2008, initially to assist in the relocation of EMD from Essex to Dorset. With Parvalux and EMD firmly established together in Bournemouth, John is concentrating on combining and developing the companies' financial reporting and control systems. Dr. Martin Mathias, Technical DirectorMartin plays a pivotal role in ensuring our product design quality remains first-class by guiding the product development process through from concept to production, covering design validation, materials and component specification, tooling requirements, rapid prototyping, production/assembly guidance and product testing. His career experience includes time as an Aerospace Design Engineer for Flight Refuelling Ltd. designing components for liquid systems using 3D parametric CAD, optimising parts to reduce weight and component count; and time as Technical Manager of the Prototyping and Virtual Manufacturing Centre at Bournemouth University - a role that included consultancy for various blue-chip customers, extolling the virtues of new design methods made possible by emerging rapid prototyping and manufacturing techniques. Martin marries a passion for engineering with first-class analytical, design and problem solving skills to ensure we maintain consistently high quality standards. Nick Spetch, Managing DirectorAlthough Nick joined us directly from IMI Cornelius, where as European Director he held P&L responsibility for a £40m aftermarket operation, the lion's share of Nick's business experience was earned during a lengthy stay at global electronics distributor RS Components. He spent the previous eighteen years at RS Components where he had supply chain responsibility for six of their European operating companies. Responsible for logistics, Andy controls all aspects of our supply chain, from purchasing materials through to final delivery of product, on-time, to our customers. This means ensuring appropriate inventory levels and that material is purchased in a timely manner and to the exacting quality standards of Parvalux. Steven Clark, CEOSteven is a creative and gifted entrepreneur, providing leadership to both the Clark Group and individually to Parvalux. Steven began his formal working career in 1984 with a manufacturing apprenticeship within Parvalux itself. After taking the helm of Parvalux as CEO in 2004, he began rebuilding Parvalux into a modern sales and product driven environment, expanding the business organically and through its acquisition of EMD. Steven brings a considerable enthusiasm and natural insight into the Parvalux business and has focussed on developing a first-class management team to participate and lead the growth of Parvalux in the future. In tandem to Parvalux, Steven has developed his entrepreneurial interests within private and commercial real estate, and high-profile retail investment. In the five years prior to joining Parvalux, Chris in particular worked as a business consultant specialising in examining, analysing and improving business processes through the application of technology. This involved implementing and enhancing IT systems to encourage efficiency gains whilst still improving service levels. Having initially worked for Parvalux as a business consultant, Chris joined us to head up the integration of a new ERP system. With success under his belt, his role was broadened to manage both IT and Production, applying IT technologies to utilise resources effectively and to ensure products are manufactured on-time and to rigorous quality standards. |
